A superb example of the iconic Accutron Astronaut I 71960 M3, dated to 1963, complete with its original signed dial and bracelet, and accompanied by a fully documented in-depth service (2023).
This historically important model is a cornerstone of early space-age horology — one of the first watches to feature Bulova’s revolutionary tuning fork movement, renowned for its precision and innovation.
The 38mm stainless steel case features a rotating steel bezel, while the black dial exhibits gorgeous natural patina — the hour markers and hands have aged beautifully to a creamy yellow tone, appearing completely original. A replacement acrylic crystal was fitted during the 2023 service to ensure clarity and durability.
Fitted to its original “coffin link” steel bracelet with folding clasp, the watch comfortably fits a wrist up to 7.5 inches.
