WWW British Military Watch ‘Dirty Dozen’
WWW stands for Watch, Wrist, Waterproof and was the descriptive code used by the British Army to identify it as a piece of equipment.
A really good honest, original version of one of the so called ‘Dirty Dozen’ watches of British World War 2 Military watches. It shows it marks, scratches, wear and tear but then again this is a Military watch that has seen service over 70 years ago.

We have run the watch through the workshop and replaced the mainspring but other than that in fine working order. Condition wise the Plexiglass has a light crack but we believe to be original so have left in place the case shows marks and discolouration as was common with this watch.
The dial being black with numbered hour markers the track running around the dial and a seconds subsidiary dial. Naturally discoloured over the years to give a wonderful patina.
Steel case measures approx 35mm this manual wind watch operates from a 462 calibre. Fitted to generic green textile strap.
