This vintage military Omega RAF Pilots, Navigators or Air Crew 6B/159 is in remarkable condition and appears to have been left well alone since being refinished by the Ministry of Defence 1956.
These World War British Military watches were later re-cased with a new dial and reused by the M.O.D with this being brought back into service in 1956. Re-cased to provide a heavier waterproof screw back a great deal of the work was thought to have been carried our but the Royal Corp Engineers.
The dial and hands were most likely reused as was the 30T2CS Omega Movement wit the dial being repainted before being reissued to the Royal Air Force.
33/34mm Stainless steel case holding a black dial with discoloured off white hands and second hand. Hour markings show a natural discolouration and pitting. Plexiglass.
Omega 30T2SC manual wind movement with original power reserve of 44 hours. Working fine having passed through our watchmaker runs within +/- 9 seconds per day.
