Having a vintage piece in your possession always makes you wonder what is the history behind it as well as what can you do to make its legacy go a little further.

A rare find, this Tudor Oyster Royal dates back to 1961 and surprisingly its managed to hold on to its original inner and outer box, papers, manuals and some evidence of previous servicing.

What’s more, it’s fitted to its original expandable link bracelet that would fit a wrist to 7.5inches. Double fold Rolex clasp included.

This Tudor Oyster Royal has a stainless steel case measuring 34mm with what appear to be original Rolex steel crown. The dial is a cream colour in the style of an ‘explorer’ dial with 3,6, 9 and 12 numbers separated by dalphin hour markers.

To our knowledge hands also appear to be correct and original. Plexiglass shows marks and scratches.

The condition of the watch is clearly worn, we have chosen not to polish and so marks and scratches are visible but nothing significant or to take away from the watch.

A clear inscription on the back reads that this watch was presented as a 21st birthday present in 1961. We have chosen to leave this to ensure the watch remains original.

Our View =  Rare to find in such great condition, at over 60 years old to still have its box means it has been well and truly treasured.
