The Empire line is a more accessible range of watches made by Smiths, often produced from the 1930s to the 1950s. Smiths gained a strong reputation when one of its watches was worn by Sir Edmund Hillary during the first successful ascent of Mount Everest in 1953.
This delightful Smiths Empire is amazing condition considering we believe it to be from the 1950s making it about 70 odd years old.
The Smiths Empire is presented with its original box.
Stainless steel 33mm case, plexiglass and fitted to a leather strap with steel buckle. Some fading around the number 8 but we think this just adds to its character.
An incredible rare find that you’re unlikely to see another of, its available now.
